In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of the top social networking apps on the iOS platform in Hungary showed some interesting trends. The data, provided by Sensor Tower, highlights the weekly downloads, revenue, and active user metrics for five leading apps.

Threads experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 8.9K at the beginning of January and reaching a peak of 9.2K in late February. Its weekly active users displayed a similar pattern, with numbers ranging from 364K to a high of 387K by the end of February.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a consistent download rate throughout the quarter, with figures hovering around 4.8K to 5.3K. The app's active user base remained robust, peaking at around 515K in mid-March.

Telegram Messenger saw a steady increase in weekly revenue, reaching approximately $5.1K in early March. Download numbers showed a slight upward trend, with a high of 3.9K in late January. Active users ranged between 142K and 173K, with a notable uptick in late February.

Rakuten Viber Messenger had a modest increase in weekly revenue, peaking at $1.9K at the end of February. Downloads showed a gradual decline over the quarter, with active users fluctuating between 583K and 620K.

Finally, Pi Network showed a significant spike in weekly downloads in mid-February, reaching over 10K. Active users also increased dramatically, from 9.7K at the start of the quarter to 20K by mid-March.
